The European aerospace standards

This standard defines the general requirement for the qualification / authorisation, procurement, quantity deviation and supply of suitable plug connectors. The ESA/SCC 3401 standard covers electrical, non-filtered, round and rectangular plug connectors. These may be hermetic or non-hermetic, and may come with removable or with non-removable contacts. Plug connectors in compliance with ESA/SCC 3401 are suitable for applications in the space travel sector. The standard also includes specifications for testing and test plans and defines requirements for data records and documentation.
